Summary

Fell End is a fabulous setting for a fun holiday.  It features a large and vibrant entertaining space inside, a huge cinema room (3metre screen) with ping pong in an adjoining building and an outside walled patio with a hot tub, barbeque and outside seating for summer guests.

Owner Sabina Forwood favours bright colours and is a keen collector of everything from Noddy memorabilia to coloured glass, much of which is on display.

Co-owner Edward Forwood has created items such as a lamp made from one of Jay-Z's Ace of Spades Champagne bottles and a large custom made 4 lane Scalextric track.

The Porch opens into a Peridot green coloured open plan kitchen, dining and living space.  The large dining room table can be extended to seat 14.

Also downstairs is the indoor games room with the Scalextric and table football.  For those who want peace and quiet or to watch TV, there is a beautiful pink panelled sitting room which boasts a 64 inch smart TV and a desk for those who may want to work.

Upstairs are the four bedrooms with three bathrooms.  Decoration ranges from Christian Lecroix gold floral wallpaper to dramatic black and white (Newcastle United) colours.

There is also a large "dorm room" which sports images of movie greats and has three folding Z-beds suitable for younger guests.

Outside on the South side of the house there is a lawn which, in Summer months, is provided with croquet and badminton.

To the rear lies the fully paved and sheltered courtyard patio with the hot tub.  In the summer a barbeque and extensive outdoor furniture is provided.  On request, a paddling pool will be set up.

The Property

Entrance

You enter Fell End Farm down a private drive off the Roman "Military Road" (or more prosaically the B6318). As you pass the first cattle grid you will see a small pond on the left which, at the time of writing is hosting a pair of Oyster Catchers.

Porch

The porch with vivid red doors has space for some boots and coats (there is more space for coats at the back if the house). The porch in turn leads into the main open plan living space.

Dining area

This has a table for eight, which can be extended to seat 14. It is overlooked by two cabinets of eccentric collectibles including Noddies, Ugly dolls and 1960's stack shoes. There is a drinks cabinet serving table and a heated "Hostess" trolley.

Seating area

Seating include a three seater sofa, a two seater sofa, three armchairs and three cushioned window seats. Most of the pictures are by artists from Northumberland, Suffolk and London known to the owners.

Kitchen

The Peridot green kitchen has a fridge/freezer, a combi-microwave oven/grill and a generous electric fan oven. There is an induction hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and masses of storage space. The kitchen has a large counter with 4 bar stools.

Rear games room

This leads off the main living space and house the large 4 lane Scalextric track and table football. There is more space for coats and boots here. Leading off this room is a WC and shower room.

TV/Sitting room

Also leading of the rear games room is the very comfortable pink panelled sitting room. This has a 64 inch smart TV and sofas, armchairs and window seats that can seat 8. For those who wish to work on their holiday, there is a director's desk and chair. A laptop stand, USB mouse and keyboard and computer screen can be provided on request. There is also a wi-fi enabled printer.

This room has a double sofa bed, should more sleeping accommodation be required. It is next to the downstairs shower/WC.

Flamingo bedroom

The first bedroom upstairs can be set up as a single or twin. It has an en suite shower room: and pictures of flamingoes!

Gold bedroom

This room has a double bed and is decorated with gold floral Christian Lecroix wallpaper. It shares a large shower room with the next bedroom.

Black and White bedroom

Dormitory passage

At the rear of the house, upstairs is a wide passage decorated with large photographs of move greats. There are 3 "Z-beds" here suitable for younger guests.

The Cinema/Party barn

This is a generous and fabulous 7m by 10m fully heated space with views up to Hadrian's Wall. The cinema screen is 3m by 1.7m with large sofas for viewing. In addition is a ping pong table, dressing up box and a large table for games. It has a small annex with additional hanging space.

Front lawn

The lawn in front of the house is large enough for croquet and badminton, sets of which are provided in the Summer.

Courtyard patio
